Stamkos leads the Buffalo Attack to week 23 win!
The Buffalo Attack are extremely happy with the changes in Stamkos this season. He is finally living up to expectations posting 5 goals and 1 assist for the week. The Attack were firing on all cylinders this week as they had a total of 5 players in double digits Alex Steen (15 pts), Duncan Keith (14 pts), Benoit Pouliot (12 pts) and Daniel Sedin (10 pts).
In second were the Tampa Gator's with 87 points. They have been surprised by how quickly Chris Stewart has matured and become a consistent scorer. Stewart posted 20 points for the week with 5 goals and 4 assists to lead the team. Other contributors were Pavel Datsyuk (2 G 4 A) and Ilya Bryzgalov who went 2-1-0 for the week.
The Dragons have been coming on as of late and are currently in third in the western conference only 19 points out of first. The Dragons were led by Marian Hossa (2 G 2 A), Christian Ehrhoff (1 G 2 A) and Andrew Ladd (4 G). The dragons were happy to be the benefactors of the Kovalchuk trade now that he is on a team that should go deep into the playoffs.
Also with 85 points were the Pittsburgh Phantoms, taking the fourth spot. The Phantoms are currentl sitting fourth in the eastern conference, which has proven to be the tougher conference this season. They are 134 points out of first and are working on improving thier playoff position as they come down the home stretch. The team was led by Mike Richards this week (2 G 5 A), Nicklas Bergfors (3 G) and Martin St Louis (1 G 3 A).
The Albany Daredevils rounded out the top 5 for the week with 82 points. The Daredevils are in third in the east are keeping just ahead of the Phantoms. The Daredevils had 5 players in double digits for the week and are pushing hard towards the playoffs. The team leaders for the week were: Jordan Staal (14 pts), Stephen Weiss, Henrik Sedin, Sergei Gochar and Henrik Lundqvist whom all had 10 pooints for the week.
We have moved the keeper players to the individual team pages, but also have a master page under the free agent menu. Only five weeks remain in the regular season and the playoff push has already begun!
